Group therapy is not for me.

For most men who struggle with porn addiction or sex addiction, it is hard enough to deal with the shame and guilt of just sharing your addiction with your partner or a therapist. While it is anxiety provoking to think about sharing your addiction with others, sharing your story is an essential part of recovery. You will see that the other men in the group have experienced similar issues in there life. Feelings of not being alone are common. Committing yourself to the recovery means doing things that are new and uncomfortable, and they will include sharing and growing with other men who feel the same way you do.

Porn addiction or sex addiction is not a real thing.

Much debate around if porn addiction or sex addiction is real or not. I have written about it in depth in the blog post’s: Is Sexual Addiction Real? Or Is Pornography Addiction Real? The question I like to ask clients is “are you sexual compulsive behaviors creating problems in your life?” For me, it doesn’t matter if you label your problematic behavior as addiction or not. What matters is, do you want to make changes in your life? If you are ready to improve your relationship and live a life full of happiness and connection today is the day to get started with recovery.

I can just stop on my own I don’t need a group or individual therapy.

Have you taken our quizzes on if you have a porn addiction or sex addiction? For most men, they have tried stopping on their own and will stop for a short time. The problem is that stopping doesn’t mean you will never use porn again. Maybe you have stopped for a few months, but using porn or sex in unhealthy ways always slip back into your life. Our program helps you learn to protect your life and learn to live a lifestyle of recovery. If you live in Las Vegas and are ready to start living a life of recovery contact us today.
